Responsibilities

  • Increase sales and market share of MSA’s complete line of environmental, health and safety products to industrial, construction on and commercial customers.
  • Successfully implement strategies and tactics relating to target markets and segments.
  • Manage, support, and lead a network of regional and national distribution partners.
  • Maintain active working relationships with the region’s largest end-users and focus on developing and closing opportunities at all top accounts with special focus on competitive conversions.
  • Provide PPE and cloud-based solutions to grow MSA’s market share in an Ohio-based territory, including Columbus and Cleveland geographic areas.
  • Effectively communicate voice of customer (VOC) feedback into our new product development process and to other stakeholders.
  • Provide support and training for our stake holders by using tools such as evaluations, demonstrations, web casting, joint sales calls, MSA meeting presentations and targeted business development calls.
  • Report and track trends/conditions, competitive activity and sales opportunities into a CRM program.
  • Leverage internet and social media tools to complete research and share product information or solutions.

Qualifications

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Demonstrated selling, account development and account managements skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, virtual, presentation and interpersonal).
  • Proven analytical ability and solid leadership qualities.
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp technical product knowledge.
  • Ability to travel 30-40% domestically, primarily in the designated geographic area.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute sales plans and overcome obstacles.
  • Excellent computer skills including Salesforce, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven planning and organizational skills.
  • Proven success in training.
  • Knowledge of the industrial market.
  • Previous safety and/or technical product sales experience.
  • Sales experience with fall protection, gas protection and respiratory protection.
  • Experience working with CRM type pipeline management tools.

Experience Required:

  • This position is available at two different career levels based upon experience, education, etc.:
    • Level I: 5 years of sales experience.
    • Level II: 6 years of sales experience.

Education required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fi eld or educational academic equivalent. 4 years of relevant work experience may be substituted and considered for a bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Training prerequisites:

  • QSSP (Qualified Safety Sales Professional) Certification or relevant technical expertise.
  • OSHA 30 Courses.
